TA-DA

Little Nya (excuse the cute bedhead, she just woke from a nap) is going on the potty EVERY time she is put on it! She is having fun with it and feeling so proud. I'm not feeling up to starting this all again quite yet, but I will just follow her lead. I'm thinking big sis gets all the credit for this. Brandon and I just laugh every time she goes as it is such a vast difference from what we went through with Cora. O and she really does say "Ta-da" with each time.

Our, wickedly talented, Kansas City photographers Eran + Aubs recently wrote on their blog  about comparison. How we are always comparing ourselves; to other parents, to others in our profession  or aspiring to be someone/thing we aren't. She mentioned how one day playing with her kids she "got it" WHAT MATTERS. You can read her post in full here.

I love this and by the way YOU guys are "those" people (the people we want to be). The "people" that create such images and videos that mean so much to people. I can't imagine giving the gift that you do. I can't imagine creating something that would be someones most prized material possessions. It is so nice to hear people "get it" though, get what matters. Keep up your amazing work!

as i do laundry i pass this scene in the hallway and hurry to try to capture this moment. the girls have been playing so well together lately and just today cora put her arm around nya and said, "nya, you is my best friend". cora, in the pictures,  fell down (on purpose) just to get a good laugh from nya!

They just  couldn't make it the 12 days till they saw the girls so they drove 9 hours for a visit.
